Sea Kayaking

So much to explore, so much to experience!

Sea kayaking is a amazing experience. Sometimes serene – gliding through mirror still water sneaking up on otters and wild goats, enjoying the beauty of secret gullies, towering cliffs and sandy beaches. Awe struck by the beauty of the mountains, islands and oh so blue Hebridean sea!

At other times, sea kayaking is pure exhilaration – surfing down ocean swells, sliding between wave crashed rocks and battling into a gale to make the safety of the sheltered confines of a bay.

Sometimes, its a short trip in the evening to watch the famous west coast sun dip behind Coll and Tiree.

At others it can be a multi day expedition, taking in the Burg, Ulva, Gometra and back again. Camping next to sandy beaches, keeping an eye out for whales and dolphins – truly getting away from it all.

Half Day Trips

Starting at Bendoran we will kit you out and make use of the water right at our door step. explore the local sea loch in calm conditions stopping for an explore, a snack and a hot drink. A great introduction to the sport of sea kayking. if the weather is not suitable in the bay we could travel to the south coast only 5 minutes drive and explore the area around Uisken – stunning!

Full Day Trips

Options include: trips to Market Bay, around Iona, Ardtun and the seal colony, south coast to the Shiaba, Uisken to Fionnphort.

Guided Trips

The location and length of our trips is determined by your goals, paddling ability and the weather conditions of the day. Please contact us to discuss what you want to do and what sort of expereince you would like. With a variety of boats from super stable doubles to low volume sea kayaks we can be adaptable.

Expeditions

Favourite local overnight expeditions include:
• Bendoran to Uisken or reverse – can include going around Iona
• Bendoran to Ulva and return or round Gometra and pick up at Ulva ferry
